Cherry Season in Turkiye: 2025

This year, we are facing significant challenges due to severe spring frosts that occurred across many regions of Türkiye and neighboring countries during the first half of April. These weather events have caused substantial damage to various fruit crops, including cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums, apples, quince, and even vineyards and nut orchards such as hazelnut and walnut.

Despite these challenges, we remain committed to maintaining our seasonal fruit supply to our valued partners around the world as much as possible. We are working to adapt to the evolving conditions, and to continue delivering quality products wherever feasible. We sincerely hope that such extreme weather events do not become a recurring pattern and that the remainder of the season brings more stability and resilience for all involved in agriculture.

Agricultural frost is a natural phenomenon that occurs when air temperatures drop below the critical threshold that plants can tolerate, especially at night. When temperatures fall below zero, the delicate buds, leaves, and young fruits are particularly vulnerable, often leading to reduced yields and, unfortunately, serious economic losses for growers. Events like this also serve as a stark reminder of the increasing unpredictability of weather patterns, emphasizing the broader impact of climate change on agriculture.
